Social Event Coordinator

As Social Event Coordinators for Ritchie’s, we manage every detail of events like our Garden Parties, Christmas Bazaar, seasonal seminars, Customer Appreciation Days, and employee Christmas parties and meetings.

Our role includes planning and budgeting, coordinating logistics, securing vendors, managing timelines, and ensuring all compliance requirements are met. We handle everything from venue setup and décor to staffing, permits, and on-site coordination.

We also work closely with the marketing team to promote events, and afterward, we evaluate performance and feedback to continuously improve. Each event is designed to reflect Ritchie’s values, celebrate the community, and create meaningful, memorable experiences for both customers and staff.

Content Writer

Each week, we craft a seasonally relevant newsletter for Ritchie Feed & Seed using Klaviyo, designed to keep customers informed, inspired, and engaged. Every edition highlights timely gardening topics, upcoming events and seminars, and features a hand-picked native plant of the week.

We also include bite-sized tips, product spotlights, and a special monthly promo code to reward our subscribers. With a strong focus on timing, value, and education, our newsletters help build community and keep Ritchie customers connected all year long — and they consistently drive results, accounting for over 20% of total online sales.

Community & Brand Partnerships Manager

We thoughtfully manage all budgets related to community giving, charity support, and promotional giveaways to ensure every dollar reflects Ritchie’s commitment to local impact and meaningful connection. Whether it’s donating to a neighbourhood fundraiser, organizing seasonal giveaways, or supporting community events, we approach each initiative with heart and purpose.

At the same time, we oversee all boutique merchandise purchasing and budgeting — curating thoughtful, seasonal, and on-brand items that align with what our customers love.
